Fans left Suva’s HFC Bank Stadium last night lamenting on what could have been as the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua were beaten 38-15 by the Hurricanes in the Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific.

It was the first half where the Drua lost the match conceding four converted tries. Sikeli Rabitu scored Drua’s lone try in the first spell as they trailed 28-7 at the break.

Despite dominating possession and territory in the second spell, the Drua were unable to convert penalties into points.

Kitione Salawa had the crowd hoping when he finished off a rolling mall early in the second spell.

The Hurricanes proved why they are unbeaten this season as they played until the last minute and added their fifth try after the hooter.
