THE stage is set for an exciting day of rugby league as the Fiji National Rugby League Vodafone Cup finals take centre stage with the country’s best teams battling for national honours at Churchill Park.
The action begins with the FNRL Women’s final at 11.30am, where Army Bears will face Namoli Tigers in what promises to be a competitive showdown.
Both teams will be aiming to finish their campaign on a high and claim the women’s championship in front of their supporters.
The women’s final will be followed by the presentation at 12.30pm before attention turns to the much-anticipated FNRL Premier final at 1pm. Lautoka-based Saru Dragons will take on Navy Albatross in the main final of the day, with both sides determined to walk away with the national title.
The Saru Dragons will be looking to use their experience and home-region support to their advantage, while Navy Albatross will be hoping to produce a strong performance and finish the season as champions.
