Early presentation of cases is still the best approach in addressing gynaecological malignancies like ovarian and cervical cancer, says CWM hospital acting head of gynaecology Dr Moape Bavou.

Officiating at the launch of the Gynaecological Month, Colonial War Memorial Hospital’s acting head of gynaecology Doctor Moape Bavou has called on women in the country to visit their nearest health centres and gynaecologist to get tested.

“Our advice to women out there is not to wait for things to go wrong, they can always visit their gynaecologist or health centre to get checked,” he said.

The Gynaecological Month is known as the Eves Campaign in Fiji and was launched yesterday at the Suva Bowling Club.
