Digicel named fastest mobile network in Fiji

THE continuous investment in the network by Digicel Fiji has been rewarded after being named the fastest mobile network in Fiji based on analysis by Ookla.

Based out of US, Ookla operates the Speedtest.net web service that provides free access performance and this time using data from customer-initiated speed tests, Ookla measured Digicel’s service as having an average speed score of 23.09 with average speeds of 25.60 Mbps for download, which ranked faster than any other provider in the market.

Digicel Fiji CEO Mike Greig said: “We are proud that this independent result, by a globally respected speed measurement company, has proven that we offer the fastest mobile network.”

Ookla, the company behind Speedtest, is the global leader in fixed broadband and mobile network testing applications, data and analysis. Over ten million tests are actively initiated by consumers each day across all Speedtest platforms, with over 20 billion completed so far.

As a result, Ookla has the most comprehensive analytics on worldwide internet performance and accessibility.
