MEMBERS of the New Zion Youth and Kids Club spent this morning with the residents of the Golden Age Home to share with them the love of Christ.

The Delailabasa-based club in Labasa also entertained the residents with gospel items highlighting the reason behind Easter.

Club adviser Vane Irvine said the visit was to teach the children and youths about the importance of appreciating elderly citizens.

“It is equally important that our children are aware of their roles in helping other people whether young or old,” she said.

“And for this Easter weekend, we thought it would be perfect for them to visit the elderly citizens, see how they cope with life as residents of this Home and how we can share God’s love with them.

“God’s greatest gift of love is being remembered this weekend when he sent his only Son to die for us on the cross. So our members shared the same message to the residents.”
