Fiji will be abuzz with activity in November with the arrival of 3000 participants and up to 2000 unique overseas overnight visitors to Fiji for four days of adventure.

This has been made possible with an exclusive deal forged with national carrier Fiji Airways and the world’s largest obstacle race (OCR) and endurance brand, Spartans.

This recently announced partnership aims to promote Fiji Airways as the official travel partner of Spartan, increasing brand awareness among an international audience.

Spartan managing director Chris Heverin says they are excited to ink an exclusive deal with the national carrier as their exclusive partner in the region and the airline’s extensive network of flights into Fiji would make it the ideal launchpad for our events in the area.

“We’re confident that through this partnership, we’ll foster a sense of community and pride among the local residents in Fiji and showcase the island’s stunning natural beauty,” Mr Heverin said.

Fiji Airways executive manager global sales, marketing and digital Akuila Batiweti says this partnership will help to promote Fiji as a stunning tourist destination, encouraging bookings from all over the world and cementing Fiji’s status as the hub of the Pacific with unrivalled international connectivity.

“The partnership will also boost the local economy with Fijian businesses invited to participate as official vendors. The partnership will also enhance Fiji’s reputation by showcasing the union between Spartan and the Fiji Islands’ remarkable natural setting and its adventure activities. The unparalleled beauty of the Pacific, and the warmth of the people of Fiji are expected to provide a remarkable experience for participants from all over the world.”

As the presenting partner, Fiji Airways will fly athletes, crew, and spectators from all over the world to Spartan’s race location in Fiji.

Apart from this, the national carrier will also provide freight services to assist Spartan in building the race course in the lead up to the main race on November 9-12.
