Davuilevu thrashes Vunimono

LELEAN Memorial School defeated newcomers Vunimono High school 72-0 in the first round of the Fiji Secondary School Eastern Zone rugby competition yesterday.
The boys from Davuilevu were not threatened as they lead 43-0 in the first half.
Vunimono High school manager Eroni Matatia said since this was their first time playing in the competition, they hoped to expose their players.
“Soccer is the only sport played in school and the increasing number of iTaukei boys joining the school, we had decided to form a rugby team,” Matatia said.
“The main idea is not only to play rugby but also to discipline their lives.”
