COVID-19: Evacuation flight opportunity for Fijians in Melbourne

Listen to this article:

Fijians in Melbourne, Australia, wishing to return home can do so on an evacuation flight scheduled to operate next Thursday, April 30, 2020.

Fiji Airways advised this morning that the service (FJ1934) will depart Melbourne at 9am and arrive into Nadi at 3.55pm.

A statement from the airline stated that guests could book tickets online at www.fijiairways.com or by calling the airline’s Reservations Centre.

“Guests holding unused Fiji Airways’ tickets for Melbourne-Nadi flights are also able to book themselves on this evacuation flight at no additional cost by contacting Fiji Airways Reservations with their booking reference details at hand,” it stated.

The airline has also stated that only Fijian passport holders are able to enter Fiji at this time.

And like all other citizens coming into the country, they will be required to go into self-isolation at a Fijian Government-mandated facility for up to 28-days, which means they will not be able to go to their homes or residences.
