A MAN who is alleged to have attempted to drown his partner last week will be appearing at the Nasinu Magistrates Court today.
Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro said the accused who is charged with one count of attempted murder is alleged to have attempted to drown his partner while swimming in Colo-i-Suva on Saturday.
Ms Naisoro said a team of police officers heard the woman’s cry for help and managed to save her and arrested the accused who is in his 30s.
She said the woman had sustained injuries during the incident and was later treated and sent home.
