The two suspects charged in relation to the seizure of more than 12 kilograms of cocaine last week appeared before Magistrate Jagath Hemantha at the Lautoka Magistrates Court this afternoon.
Grace Katia Liuvoliga, 19-years-old and 48-year-old Alzaid Shain Rizwan Ali are charged with two counts of unlawful possession of illicit drugs, contrary to Section 5 (a) of the illicit Drugs Control Act 2004 and one count of attempted unlawful exportation of illicit drugs, contrary to Section 4 (1) and Section 9 of the Illicit Drugs Control Act 2004,
The duo have been remanded and the case has been transferred to the Lautoka High Court on March 4.
