THE Lautoka Golf Club will start its inaugural pool table competition alongside the 4R Electrical Ltd and Islands Electric-sponsored 2 men stroke Ambrose event at the golf links today.

The event kick-starts the club’s fundraising drives to help people who are in need.

The club was amonmg sporting organisations which donated to the Prime ministers Cyclone Relief charity drives to help those who were affected in the recent tropical cyclones.

Lautoka Golf Club executive Raymond Singh said there would be top four team prizes in the main event today alongside a host of novelty prizes.

“The club is expected to attract the cream of members as the golf course is in the tip-top condition,” Singh said.

“The pool table champions will also be rewarded with the winners trophy and men’s watches as prizes.
