Chinese vice minister for Foreign Affairs visits President

THE People’s Republic of China Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs Zheng Zeguang paid a courtesy call to the President Jioji Konrote at Borron House last Friday.

Mr Zeguang who has served in various positions within China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs also served as China’s second secretary to the United States of America for 1994 to 1997 and served as Director General Department of North American and Oceanian Affairs from 2005 to 2008.

They had a meeting on long standing bilateral relation between Fiji and China was acknowledged with hopes of further strengthening this relationship.

Mr Konrote and Mr Zeguang also exchanged gifts.
