PARENTS of children who are suffering from cancer were yesterday reminded that God knows of their struggles and He is always there for them.
These were the sentiments echoed by the Rev Wilfred Regunamada, the secretary communications and overseas missions for the Methodist Church in Fiji, while speaking at the WOWS Kids Fiji’s thanksgiving service held in Suva yesterday.
He said many had turned away from the faith because they were of the view that being a Christian one would not go through any trials or difficulties.
“Let me assure you that God has assured us that while we are living, make the most of it, stop looking outside, stop blaming and stop listening to other people,” he said.
“Continue to enjoy life as you are doing now and look at the eyes of your child and continue to say that you will love him or her.” He said though the journey of this dreadful disease was painful, families must continue to cherish each moment they spent with their loved ones.
Meanwhile, WOWS kids will hold a chairty ball at the Grand Pacific Hotel this Saturday from 6pm.
