Casual worker dies in alleged workplace accident

A 43-YEAR-OLD casual worker died at his workplace in Lautoka yesterday after a pallet of goods allegedly fell on him.

The victim from Tomuka in Lautoka was standing beside a forklift when the alleged incident happened, leaving him unconscious.

According to Police, the alleged incident occurred at a yard in Veitari, Lautoka, at around 7pm last night.

The victim was conveyed to the Lautoka hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

Investigations are now continuing.
