EXTRA Bula FC head coach Stephane Auvray praised his team’s resilience after their 0-1 loss to South Island United in the OFC Pro League Leaders Group opener, despite playing the second half with a man down.
The narrow defeat keeps their semi-final hopes alive, with two crucial games remaining.
He said the boys showed the ability to handle pressure, continuing to move the ball and create chances even with a man down.
“This was really good to watch because we didn’t just pass the ball and waited which is what we did towards the end and it didn’t pay off so the lesson for tonight is keep playing no matter what.” Bula FC will now face Auckland FC on Saturday at 2.30pm.
