FIJI 7s coach Gareth Baber was present at the 33rd Fiji Bitter 7s tournament despite his tight schedule with the national side departing for Los Angeles last night.

Baber said he was always looking for new talents. He said the Nawaka 7s tournament presented him a chance to see players who had previously represented Fiji and also players who were on the rise.

“It is important that we get a good look at all of them,” Baber said.

“I have a flight to Los Angeles tonight (last night).

“But it was a good chance to see some of the teams that we have seen playing in the past couple of months as well.”

Sakenasa Aca, Vatemo Ravovou, Emosi Vucago, Kitione Taliga and Terio Tamani were some of the former national 7s players who featured for their respective clubs yesterday.
