Ba Town ready for schools rugby finals

The town of Ba is ready to welcome teams, officials and fans for the 2026 Fiji Secondary Schools Rugby League Finals at Govind Park today.

Chairman of the Board of Special Administrators for Ba Town Council⁠, Moshim Khan, said it was a privilege for Ba to host the national secondary schools rugby league showdown at Four R Stadium.

Khan said the Ba Town Council was proud to support the event because of the positive impact sport has on young people and communities.

He said the Fiji Secondary Schools Rugby League Finals would help unite communities, inspire young talents and strengthen the spirit of rugby league in the country.

Khan also urged all participating teams to play with pride, respect and represent their schools and districts well during the competition.

He encouraged supporters to enjoy the games responsibly and help make the finals a memorable occasion for everyone attending the tournament.

“I look forward to entertaining and exciting matches and wish all teams every success,” Khan said.

He also said he hoped fair play and sportsmanship would prevail throughout the competition.

Khan welcomed all visitors to Ba and hoped teams and supporters would enjoy their stay in the town and return home with good memories from the event.

“On behalf of the Ba Town Council, once again I welcome you all to the Fiji Secondary School Rugby League Finals. Welcome home to Ba,” he added.
