THE Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption (FICAC) appeal case against Sitiveni Rabuka was dismissed by the High Court in Suva this afternoon.

This was after Chief Justice Anthony Gates upheld his acquittal on charges of electoral offences.

FICAC had appealed against the former prime minister’s acquittal by the Suva Magistrates Court last month on charges that Mr Rabuka had provided a false declaration of assets and liabilities for electoral purposes.

The Court also ordered $4000 costs against FICAC.
