Aggravated robbery case transferred to High Court

A 22-YEAR-OLD man charged with one count of aggravated robbery had his case transferred to the High Court in Suva earlier this afternoon.

It is alleged that Maleli Somumu robbed a woman of her mobile phone valued at $1500 using violence.

The alleged incident occurred on September 11, in Suva.

Mr Somumu has sought for Legal Aid assistance.

Magistrate Liyanage Wickramasekara has remanded Mr Somumu and has adjourned the case to September 27.
