A wastewater main along Denarau Island Road, from Regent Wastewater Pump Station to Navakai Wastewater Treatment Plant has been cordoned off because of a burst.

The Water Authority of Fiji (WAF) is advising its customers that our technical teams are awaiting clearance from EFL and TFL teams before repair works can commence, as high voltage EFL cables and underground TFL cables are suspected to be running parallel with the water and wastewater pipes.

WAF says in the meantime, bailing trucks have been engaged to bail out the wastewater from the Regent wastewater pump station to minimise the leakages and wastewater spillage on the road.

“Members of the public are kindly advised to exercise extreme caution while travelling along this road.

“We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused and we seek your understanding and patience until such time that the repair works have been completed.”

For further enquiries, customers can call 3346777 or shortcode 5777 (all mobile networks) or email contact@waf.com.fj
