A TOTAL of 512 students graduated this morning from the University of the South Pacific’s, Faculty of Business and Economics.

USP Vice-Chancellor and President Rajesh Chandra said because of the big number of graduates, they had the event spread over three sessions in two days.

Mr Chandra said USP was in the last year of its current strategic plan and the university had already achieved 82 per cent of what it had set out to achieve.

He said the new Strategic Plan for 2019-2024 was being finalised with the final draft to be presented to the November Council for its consideration and approval.

It was stressed by the vice-chancellor that the Faculty of Business and Economics has relaunched its flagship journal, The Journal of Pacific Studies, and for the first time readers could access any article dating back to 1975.

Mr Chandra said the Faculty of Business and Economics continued to attract the most number of students every year compared to the other two faculties ; and this year alone 54 per cent of the graduates were from this faculty.
