A newly-released song is making its rounds on social media platforms YouTube and Facebook, and its ‘cry for unity’ is quickly capturing the hearts and admiration of the Fijian public.
Titled ‘Duavata Viti’ (Unite Fiji), the song – released on August 8 (2021) – is a special dedication to the thousands of frontline workers battling the global COVID-19 pandemic in the country, and the people of Fiji.
Composed by International School Suva Music teacher Tim Ulacake – a proficient musician himself — the song comes from a special place, written out of love and hope.
And there is but one clear message — set all differences aside and unite for people and country.
