A TEENAGE girl who was allegedly raped by a man today informed the High Court in Suva that the accused gave her $3 after he raped her.
She also claimed that the accused gave her the cash to go buy her an ice block after he allegedly raped her the second time in the forest.
The complainant in her evidence said she had gone to the forest with the accused to collect firewood.
She said the wife of the accused did not believe her when she told her about the incident because she loved her husband.
The man is charged with five counts of rape and is standing trial before High Court judge Justice Vinsent Perera.
The alleged incident took place between 2012 and 2016 in the Western Division.
The trial continues tomorrow.
