18 to fly International flag at schools’ meet

International School Nadi is sending a contingent of 18 swimmers to compete in the Fiji National Schools’ Swimming Association Primary and Secondary Schools’ National Swimming Championships which stats tomorrow at the Olympic Pool in Suva.

Olympian Cheyenne Rova, who is the Nadi-based school’s coach and manager, said everyone was training hard and excited to be competing at the championship.

“They are excited to compete with all the other schools in the country,” she said.

Rova said that the school was the runner-up in the secondary schools girls’ division.

“This year we are taking a total of 18 students, both from our primary and secondary schools.

“We are really happy with the achievements that we got.” She said for a lot of swimmers, it would be their first time competing not just in the competition but in general.

“It is going to be a fun experience, and everyone is looking forward to it.”
