VOTERS between the ages of 18 and 40 have been told that the 2022 General Election “is your elections”.

Prominent Suva lawyer and The People’s Alliance party candidate Filimoni Vosarogo told people who turned up at a rally at the Naveiwakau Methodist Church hall on Tuesday night that this age group had the power to determine what kind of government they wanted to lead them.

He said the 2022 polls was the general election that would determine their future.

“Don’t wait for 2026, tell your friends not to wait for 2026,” he said.

“This is your elections. If you are 18 to 35, right to 40, this is your elections.

“The strength for any political party or leader to win the general elections lies with people between the ages of 18 to 35.

“That power we need to win the general elections is in your hands because the majority of voters this year are our youths.

“They make up more than 43 per cent of voters.

“It is the young people of this country who will determine the next government. That is why it is very important for all of you to vote.

“Let me remind you that if you miss out on December 14, you will have to wait for 2026 and that is too far.

“This is your elections.”
