A heavy rain warning remains in force for Yasawa and Mamanuca Group, Nadi, Ba-Lautoka, Tavua-Vatukoula, Ra-Rakiraki and Interior Ba Area, Kadavu, Beqa and Vatulele.

The Fiji Meteorological Service says a heavy rain alert also remains in force for Macuata and Bua Provinces and Southern Lau Group.

This is due to an extensive area of cloud and rain that is approaching the group from the West.

The Fiji Met says occasional rain, heavy at times and squally thunderstorms can be expected over Yasawa and Mamanuca Group, Kadavu, Beqa and Vatulele, Ba-Lautoka area, interior Ba area, and greater Nadi area.

Localised heavy falls may lead to flash flooding of low-lying areas and some disruption to traffic flow and poor visibility on land as well as out at sea.
