Another Dolokoto is making his way to the international rugby arena.

Paul Dolokoto is the younger brother of Flying Fijians hooker Mesulame Dolokoto, who is playing in France. The Koroivonu, Cakaudrove lad is part of the Vodafone Fiji under-20 team.

He followed his big brother’s footsteps in joining Queen Victoria School and was part of the school’s U19 Deans Trophy winning side.

The 19-year-old said he hoped to be selected for the Fiji U20 or Fiji Warriors team next year.

“Playing rugby is not new, especially when you have your teammates from high school,” he said.

“We may be in different teams, but we are still one. Personally, it is all about working on my confidence, my skills and my bond with my teammates.

“To be part of the under-20 team squad has been a blessing.

I have been working hard knowing that I have a huge footstep to follow and that is of my brother Mesu.

“He has set a standard for me to follow.

It’s very challenging because you have other boys out there who are much better than you, but it takes a lot of confidence and faith to make it to the national team.”
