With its implementation of BSP’s internet payment gateway (IPG) solution, Courts has become the bank’s latest IPG merchant as the bank continues to assist a number of online businesses looking to adapt to the new ‘new normal’ way of doing business in Fiji.

Vision Investments Ltd/Courts chief marketing officer Anil Senewiratne said their partnership with BSP Bank also allowed them to expand its range of digital payment options available for its online retail store customers.

“We are delighted to extend our long-standing partnership with BSP to include their IPG solution which will catapult our Courts Online Store to even greater heights with the inclusion of BSP EasyCards as an added means to pay for items purchased.

“Through the online store portal, the customers can also pay their hire purchase accounts using BSP Easycards.

“Previously, this was confined to scheme cards, MPaisa and MyCash,” said Mr Senewiratne.

“This move is critical as we strive to future-proof our businesses in line with the evolving COVID safety protocols.”

BSP Fiji country head Haroon Ali said Courts was well known for its extensive range of products and a long history in Fiji.

“It would be hard to find a family home in Fiji which doesn’t have something from Courts. Our state-of-the-art IPG solution is a natural fit to Courts aspirations to grow their online shopping business.

“Customers with BSP EasyCard, Visa Debit or Visa Credit cards, can now go online and make e-purchases instead of having to visit a Courts shop each time.

“They can also make their hire purchase payments from the comfort of their homes at their convenience.

“We look forward to this continued partnership with Courts and the Vision Group.” Mr Senewiratne said.

Courts Online Store was initially launched a decade back and since then had evolved to match the changing customer demands and market situations.

He said Courts was working on enhancing a comprehensive online shopping experience, but the development was accelerated by the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Partnering with the “Green Bank” was a natural progression, as it immediately broadened our market prospects to include one of Fiji’s largest retail banking customer bases who are BSP EasyCard holders,” he added.
