Happy to be back at work, hairdressers in Labasa have thanked the Government for easing restrictions on high-risk businesses on Vanua Levu.

Hairdresser of Classic Salon Lesi Seruvatu described the situation as a sigh of relief.

“We were really worried when they closed down our business last week because we didn’t know how to pay for our rent and other bills,” Seruvatu said.

“But we thank the Government for considering our plea and have allowed us to operate.”

Barbershop owner Rajendra Prasad said the Government had made a wise decision and allowed business on Vanua Levu to operate as normal.

“Now we will be able to pay for our bills and I thank Government for allowing us to return to work.”
