The Maritime Zone is scheduled to go ahead with its competition this afternoon at 1pm at the ANZ Stadium.

Fiji Secondary school Athletics association president Vuli Waqa says the zone has been given the greenlight to go ahead with the games.

He said they are still awaiting for the Ministry of Health to confirm if its safe to have the Coca-Cola Games this Thursday or should it be cancelled or postponed.

“From there we will then meet with the Ministry for Education and our main sponsors to discuss what is our next step but for the time being we’re all awaiting for the Ministry of Health,” he said.

“So hopefully by this afternoon we can get a decision in regards to the three days competition.”

The Fiji Finals is expected to start on Thursday.
