The Coral Coast of Nadroga will be in hype this weekend with the Fiji Bitter Malomalo 7s at Lawaqa, Park in Sigatoka.
Games co-ordinator Semi Tanikili said top teams in Fiji had confirmed their participation and their involvement would give Nadroga-based sides good time to test their abilities.
“Police Blues, Blue Diamond, Army Green, Army Red, Ratu Filise and Wadigi Salvo are some of the top teams that we can confirm have already booked their spots,” Tanikili said.
“This is a good opportunity for the Coral Coast players to test themselves against top teams around Fiji.”
Tanikili said the $5000-winner race would start on Friday with organisers aiming to run the tournament in a professional manner.
“We are also calling on surrounding villages to come and support this course as we want to develop our community.
“Schools will be on break and it will be a good time for parents to treat their kids after a long 14 weeks of schooling.”
The winner will walk away with $5000, runner-up will pocket $2000 with the losing semi-finalists to get $500 each.
The admission fee is $5 flat for adult on the first day and $7 on the second day.
Children admission fee is $2 for both days.
The tournament will be held at Lawaqa Park, Sigatoka on Friday and Saturday next week.
