WITH many young guns expected to feature for the defending champion, Suva team manager Nemani Tuifagalele said there would be fireworks when they host Nadroga in their Skipper Cup opener tomorrow at the ANZ Stadium.

“It is a new look side with some new faces coming to the forefront to represent Suva,” Tuifagalele said.

“It also speaks of the volume of development that Suva is doing with players ready to wear the blue,” he said. With the retirement of former captain Isireli Ledua, who now helps in a technical capacity, and a number of senior players unavailable because of work commitments, Tuifagalele said they were optimistic of the capabilities in the Suva pack.

“Each player has proved himself and why he deserves to represent Suva and eager to take on Nadroga.

“No love will be lost between the two sides and we can expect a lot of fireworks, and we hope to start the season well.”

Suva hosts Nadroga tomorrow at 6pm.
