Villagers in the Yasawa group have begun to experience strong winds from this morning.

Turtle Island resort manager Bill Mualele said large swells and heavy downpours were affecting the island resort and neighboring islands from this morning.

Meanwhile, Yasawa i Rara village headman Nayelesoni Toqitoqi said they have started with their preparations as they continue to monitor the weather.
