To commemorate International Day of Education, Vodafone Fiji Ltd presented gifts and also hosted afternoon tea for students of Gospel School for the Deaf.

Vodafone Fiji sponsorship manager Adriu Vakarau said the gift handover to the children was long overdue from Christmas and it was only fitting that students received their gifts on International Day of Education.

“Vodafone was waiting for a time to give the students their gifts and today just coincided with International Day of Education and we are pleased to have the opportunity to commemorate the international day of education with students of Gospel School of the Deaf.”

The United Nations General Assembly declared January 24 as International Day of Education, in celebration of the role of education for peace and development.
