Ono-i-Lau booked a spot in the Cricket Fiji Association Challenge Cup final after beating Moce during their semi-final thriller at Albert Park yesterday.

Ono chased Moce’s batting average of 271 runs all out to win the match with 272 runs and one wicket remaining.

Cricket Fiji president Alex Konrote said the excitement in the final knockout stages was expected with the traditional rivals going head to head.

“To see the camaraderie and sportsmanship on display has to be applauded,” Konrote said.

“Watching the final top teams on show has also been great to watch.”

Suva took out the first semi-final after chasing Nadi’s 154 runs all out to beat them by 155 runs. The Capital City side still had four wickets remaining at the end.

In the Bowl final, Cicia takes on Cricket Fiji Invitational with Komo to meet Lakeba in the Plate final today at Albert Park.

Suva and Ono-i-Lau will face-off in the Cricket Fiji Associations Challenge Cup final tomorrow and it is expected to be another thriller.
