Fiji’s Minister for Local Government Premila Kumar officially opened a new restroom in Korovou this afternoon with an estimated cost of $190,000.
She said it was the Government’s responsibility to build proper infrastructure for members of the public.
“We chose Korovou because it was in need of a new standard toilet facility,” Mrs Kumar said.
She said hundreds of people would now use the new facility to relieve themselves.
She said the new facility would also accommodate people living with disabilities.
