Students have been urged to take advantage of their school break which begins next week.

While speaking in Nadi yesterday, Minister for Education Rosy Akbar said students should ensure they rested during the one week break.

“Today is the last day of school and I want you to have a good rest during your break, reset your mind and return refocused for next term,” she said during the commissioning of a new school block at Nawai Secondary School.

She said the new school block was a symbol of the Fijian Government’s commitment to providing a better learning environment for all Fijians.

“We believe that the right infrastructure is important and yesterday we were also in Tailevu where we commissioned a kindergarten and a hall.”

Ms Akbar also urged parents to take responsibility for their children during the school break.
