Namosi defends Farebrother Sullivan Trophy

Namosi defended the Farebrother Sullivan trophy from Nadroga 15-6 at Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori this afternoon.

The Stallions drew first blood in the third minute of play from fullback Apisalome Waqatabu kicking three points to lead Namosi 3-0.

In the 11th minute, Waqatabu extended the lead with an additional three points to put them in the lead 6-0.

In the 16th minute, Namosi flyhalf Alivereti Veitokani closed the gap to three points as Nadro led 6-3.

Namosi showed momentum and kept the pressure on Nadroga that led to their open side winger Esala Nalobo scoring their first try and took the lead 8-6.

In the final minute of play as Nadroga forwards pushed towards the try line, Namosi blindside flanker Kelepi Naimasi wrestled the ball away from the Stallions and led to fullback Meli Nakarawa sealing the deal and scoring their winning try in the last second to win them the match 15-6.

Namosi team captain Sakiusa Nadruku acknowledged his warriors and supporters for the win.
