President, cabinet ministers attend National Malaysian Day reception

President Jioji Konusi Konrote attended the National Malaysian Day reception at the Malaysian High Commissioner to Fiji’s Residence yesterday evening.

According to the Fijian Government, the President was welcomed by Resident High Commissioner-Designate of Malaysia Ilham Tuah Bin Illias.

Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama, Minister for Local Government, Housing and Community Development, Premila Kumar, Minister for Commerce, Trade, Tourism and Transport Faiyaz Koya and members of the Diplomatic Corps also attended the reception.

PM Bainimarama in an earlier congratulatory message to his Malaysian counterpart YAB Tan Sri Dato’ Haji Muhyiddin bin Haji Mohd. Yassin conveyed the Fijian Government and the people of Fiji’s best wishes to the Government of Malaysia and its people on the occasion of the 63rd Independence Day.
