Students walk free after charges against them are dismissed

A group of students who were charged with two counts of failure to comply with order contrary to section 69(3) and Regulation 2 of Public Health (COVID-19) Regulation 2020 are free following the decision by the Suva Magistrates Court to dismiss the charges.

Zachariah Ah Koy, Brendon Fremlin, Gideon Gurt Kaurasi, Gregory Leleiveivono, Nicholas Phelps, Vatimi Seutinaviti, Cedric Vute, Thomas Yabita and Poon Wai Zhip appeared before Suva Magistrate Liyanage Wickramasekara earlier last week.
