Five heads of missions have shaved their heads for cancer awareness.

In the process, New Zealand High Commissioner to Fiji Jonathan Curr, along with his counterparts from Australia, United States, United Kingdom and France, helped raise in excess of $30,000 for Walk On Walk Strong (WOWS) Kids Fiji. Mr Curr said he got involved in the fundraiser through his wife.

“I was sitting along with the other heads of missions and wondering what charities we could raise funds for and we decided that this is something that we can all do it together,” he said.

“So we shaved our heads for a good cause.

“We were looking at a combined target of $A20,000 so it looks like we have exceeded that and we are very happy.”

WOWS Kids Fiji co-founder Taholo Kami thanked the ambassadors for their support and the work the funds would allow them to continue to do.
