Lorry drivers who are contracted by Cement Pacific (Pte) Limited are contemplating their future since they have stopped work due to a stop order issued by the Department of Environment for the company to stop operating.

Spokesman for the lorry drivers Faiyaz Ali said they had lost an income of about $300 each just because of this issue between the company and the Department of Environment.

“They have not done any work since last Friday and all the lorries are parked outside the cement factory,” Mr Ali said.

“Their job is to transport raw materials  from the Suva wharf to the cement factory.”
