Policy holders and brokers of FijiCare Insurance Limited (FIL) are advised that insurance services provided at Oceania Hospitals Private Limited (OHPL) have now been normalised.

This means policy holders will now be able to access all services covered under their respective policy terms.

A market announcement issued via the South Pacific Stock Exchange (SPX) last week – signed by FIL managing director Peter McPherson and company secretary Victor Robert – stated that following some unresolved issues between FIL and OHPL regarding the charges for services rendered to FIL policy holders on July 2, the medical facility had stated that it would no longer accept FIL policy holders’ insurance cards to settle payments, and that the services would be extended on a strictly cash basis only.

“FIL hereby confirms that all outstanding issues with OHPL has now been resolved and that our policy holders would now be able to access all services at OHPL without any restrictions,” the market announcement stated.

“FIL sincerely apologises for any inconvenience caused to our policy holders.”

Policy holders who may have been impacted by the disruptions in services are advised to contact the insurance service provider for further assistance.
