A family of Natokowaqa, Lautoka is in need of adult diapers for their bedridden mother.
Seruwaia Bari said her mother, Arieta Voli, had been bedridden since January and they could no longer afford to fully support her because the family’s sole breadwinner had lost his job in March.
“We are not asking for anything more, just adult diapers to assist us in looking after our mother,” Ms Bari pleaded.
“My husband was laid off from work in March and it has been quite hard to foot the bills for our family and work things out with the small income we earn from the pastries we sell.
“A little bit of assistance would be of great help for me and my family.”
Ms Voli had an operation in January and since then, she has not been able to live a normal life.
She has survived on the support of her family since then.
