Members of the suspended SODELPA party are meeting at the Grand Pacific Hotel in Suva for the appointment of a general secretary.
Sitiveni Rabuka said the purpose of this meet was to formally appoint a general secretary so he or she could submit documents to the Supervisor of Elections Mohammed Saneem.
“This is to just to formalise the selection of our general secretary who is also a registered officer of the party so that he or she can submit the documents required by the Supervisor of Elections so that we can be unsuspended,” Mr Rabuka said.
The meeting proper has just begun as the suspended party has gathered enough numbers to form a quorum.
