170 RFMF personnel leave for peacekeeping duties in Sinai

An aircraft from the Royal Australian Air Force which arrived last night left the country this morning with 170 Republic of Fiji Military Forces personnel on board for peacekeeping duties in Sinai.

According to a post on the ‘Australia in Fiji’ Facebook page, these troops fly to Sinai today to replace the current 166 Fijian peacekeepers already there who will be returning home, via the RAAF aircraft, later this month.

“The peacekeepers returning home to Fiji this week have served in Sinai for over 12 months.

“The personnel heading to Sinai this morning will serve for 12 months.”
