STC Harold: 197 evac centres still active

A total of 197 evacuation centres remain operational with 4577 evacuees, the National Disaster Management Office (NDMO) has reported.

It stated that divisional and district emergency operation centres (EOC) continued to monitor the situation in their areas of responsibility and provide situational updates.

It also stated that the initial damage assessment teams had been mobilised in the divisions and were ready to be deployed once weather permitted.
