COVID-19: Lautoka schools closed until further notice

FROM tonight all schools and non-essential businesses in Lautoka will be closed until further notice.

This was announced by the Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama in a press conference regarding the COVID-19 pandemic in Suva today.

Mr Bainimarama said schools outside Lautoka will remain open.

Fiji has recorded its first confirmed case of COVID-19.

In a tweet on his official Twitter account, Health Minister Dr Ifereimi Waqainabete revealed the confirmed case was in Lautoka.
