MEMBERS of the public are being advised that maintenance works on Nalele bridge in Taveuni scheduled to be completed last Sunday is now delayed and will be completed tomorrow.
Fiji Roads Authority (FRA) in a statement today said this is due to the extensive damages and condition on the Nalele bridge works.
“During this time, access will be prohibited across the bridges and there will be no detours posted,” FRA said.
“Bridge closure advisory signs have been posted in advance of the closure period and motorists are requested to plan their travel accordingly.
“We will have standby vehicles available on both sides of the bridge to cater for emergency events.
“Travelers along this area are advised to take this notice into account when finalizing travel plans.”
