FNPF appoints two new directors

THE Fiji National Provident Fund (FNPF) has appointed two new directors to the FNPF Board.

The new directors are Daksesh Patel and Mukhtar Ali.

These appointments follow the retirement of Ajith Kodagoda and Tevita Kuruvakadua who had served two consecutive terms.

Minister for Economy Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum said Mr Patel and Mr Ali were highly regarded and respected professionals who will help the Fund position itself to take maximum advantage of continued growth in all areas of its business, and ensure sustainability of the members’ hard earned retirement savings.

“Both individuals bring with them a wealth of experience in the areas of investment, manufacturing and banking,” Mr Sayed-Khaiyum said.

It was also noted that Mr Kaba was returning to the board.

Mr Patel and Mr Ali’s appointment comes into effect from today.

Mr is the Chief Executive Officer of Infrabuild, Australia, and has extensive leadership experience in

manufacturing, retail and governance.

Mr Ali is the Chief Operating Officer of the Community Bank of the Bay in Oakland, California, and is a seasoned community banking professional with 35 years of experience.
